Adventures of the NCBA 2012 Convention: Part 1

Howdy from NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE!

Reporting live from our BOSS hotel room, Ashley and myself have lounged all day long after our morning flights from Texas.

I haven't been on a plane in about 6 years so from the point that I walk into the airport a sense of anxiousness and nervousness swept over me.

Of course, with my luck, I was the winner of being patted down at 6:00 o'clock in the morning. Talk about feeling violated. I mean there has to be another way.

Flying out of a small airport is just my kind of thing. Easy to navigate, of course and plus you cannot get lost with only two gates. But seriously we walked up to the plane from the runway! Stay tuned for the video footage on that one.

Easy first plane ride...well it was supposed to be. With a pilot that sounded like he was maybe 12 years old and possibly his first flight ever. We experienced a little turbulence when landing that woke up the man beside and I'm pretty sure scared the flight attendant to death.

Houston was a little different. After we are seated for this flight, the flight attendant talks on her little phone saying that our pilot is running late.

From that point, they should have just said "Houston we have a problem."

We left around 30 minutes late, but I don't really remember much because I hit up some Zzz's, like for real, being up for 24 straight hours was killing me. I'm pretty sure I had a conversation with the flight attendant and the business man beside me in my sleep. So who knows what was said.

...Hope I was polite.

Landed at BNA, luggage in hand and out the airport doors to find our shuttle. After waiting and waiting in the cold without a jacket, we decided to call the hotel to pick us up.

Finally at the HOTEL. Mission accomplished.

Now for food! Ashley and I had not eaten all day, so anything would do. So we walk out the hotel's front doors to look around.

Do you know what we found? George Strait. Well his hand prints and boot prints anyway.

We make our way to Cracker Barrel. And Trevor, our adorable man of a waiter. He had the most rosy red checks and that deep southern accent that makes any girl's knees go weak.

Back at the hotel we lounged all day long and planned our week of clothing options and when to wake up and really just catching up and enjoying each other's company.

God bless I love this child! Funny and sweet. A girl after my own heart. I might have her wanting to write her own blog! Love being able to share social media outlets with other to where they can express themselves!

Well time for bed.

Updates will be coming your way!

Stay tuned :)
